There is a private bathroom on the property, but keep in mind it’s located downstairs underneath the treehouse.

Hand-built by the owner himself, this custom-designed treehouse is located in one of the best locations in Central Washington. It’s situated on a sprawling 150-acre lot within walking distance to Alpine Lakes Wilderness trail-head, surrounded by wooded forests and towering pines. You’ll even need to strap on your hiking boots and walk along a steep gravel trail just to reach the home (which sits across from a suspension bridge). It doesn’t get much more rural than this!

Despite its secluded location, this treehouse is also a short drive from Leavenworth village, so you’re not far from shops, restaurants, and bars. Not to mention, the treehouse itself overlooks the babbling Hansel Creek, which you can see from every room in the house. There is a BBQ you can use to cook meals and a refrigerator for storing snacks and drinks. However, the bathroom is located in a separate building 100-feet away.

All the wood used in this crafty treehouse was sourced from local trees and milled at the owner’s sawmill. It features a small living room, a kitchenette (no stove or oven), and even an electric fireplace and TV. Right off the main gathering space, you’ll have a little deck with bar seating, so you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a beautiful view every morning.

A ladder leads to the top bedroom, which has its own romantic balcony and seating area. On the ground floor underneath the treehouse, you’ll find a porch swing, BBQ grill, and a fire pit. Ascend the spiral staircase and enter a picturesque 280-square foot treehouse situated between two large fir trees. The main room of the house has a balcony, so you can overlook the water and admire the stunning scenery outside your door. It’s also the closest accommodation with heat and electricity to Baker Lake, so you can spend the day boating, swimming, or kayaking whenever you want!

The fully-equipped kitchen features a stovetop and oven, and is constructed from whole pieces of spalted alder and cherry wood trees. There’s even a room that just has a sunken soaking tub. With a stunning 12-sided sky-light above you and a dimly lit fireplace off in the corner, you’ll feel like royalty bathing in the middle of the forest. 

A few steps from the main treehouse is a separate two-story tower, which is also suspended between the tree-lined forest. Here you’ll find a couch for reading or relaxing, although it can also be converted into a separate bedroom if you are entertaining more guests.
